Morning sickness is essentially a part and parcel of a pregnancy, but in this day and age, the good thing is that you do not have to go through it and bear it all through, thanks to the number of home remedies that are in store for you. A combination of methods like consuming the right kind of foods, medications that have been prescribed by your doctor and a few natural remedies, could very well provide great relief to women suffering from morning sickness.

Foods That Help:

Sour Foods:

  • It might seem slightly counter-productive to think that eating something sour during morning sickness could help you during the time when you are feeling sour in the stomach, but trust us when we tell you that this actually helps.
  • Sip on warm lemon water or a sour candy of sorts to help you get through nausea that you are sure to face during this time, effectively.
  • Giving a sniff to something citrusy like lemon or orange peel could also help quite a lot.

Salty Crackers:

Starchy foods could very well help settle that queasy stomach of yours during morning sickness and help provide a sense of much-needed relief.

Ginger:

The amazing properties of ginger have, for a long time, been used to treat many issues, especially in Chinese medicines. It is, in particular, known for the brilliant benefits it has on digestion and nausea. Having ginger in the form of a tea or soda could be plenty helpful to help settle that stomach of yours.

Mint:

Anything that provides freshness to your palate and your nasal passage during this time has been proven to be helpful to help curtail morning sickness. In this case, we recommend that you try mint as the freshness of mint really does help brilliantly.
