Food Recipes For Fussy Eater Toddlers

Are you tired of your picky toddler’s eating habits? Are you tired of the statements like ‘No, I’m not hungry’ and ‘I don’t like it, Mumma'? Toddlers are usually fussy about eating. We moms are always worried about the fact that our fussy eater may not get the required nutrients, eating can become a challenge then. Fussy eaters run away from boring food and vegetables but a little variety and culinary skills can help you with mommy woes. Here I am putting some healthy food recipes for toddlers. Hope it helps you deal with your fussy eater in a better way.

Soya Chunks Paratha

  • IngredientsSoya chunks
  • Jeera Powder
  • Salt
  • Wheat Flour(Dough)
  • Oil

Method Boil soya chunks in water until they become tender. Drain excess water. Now heat oil in a pan, add cumin powder, soya chunk, and salt. Fry them for 4 to 5 minutes and let it cool for some time. Place this stuffing on the dough and make a crisp paratha for your fussy toddler.

Veggie Bread Rolls

  • IngredientsBread slices
  • Oil
  • Potatoes (boiled)
  • Carrots (boiled)
  • Tomatoes (chopped)
  • Onion (chopped)
  • Garam masala (optional)
  • Turmeric powder
  • Salt
  • Coriander leaves (optional)

Method Heat the oil in a pan. Add chopped onions and tomatoes and cook for 4 to 5 minutes. Add potatoes, carrots and other ingredients except bread. Cook for few minutes or until dry. Now soak sides of the bread in water. Place the stuffing on the bread and make round balls. Heat the oil in a pan and fry till it turns golden brown.

Ragi Halwa

Ingredients
  • Ragi
  • Ghee
  • Milk
  • Jaggery
  • Cardamom powder(optional)
  • Water
  • Dry fruits

Method Take ragi powder, add water to make a smooth batter. Now add batter, ghee, jaggery and cardamom powder in a pan. Mix it well with continuous stirring. Remove it from the heat once it starts thickening. Garnish it with dry fruit powder.

Wheat Pancake

  • IngredientsWheat flour(atta)
  • Jaggery syrup
  • Water
  • Fennel seeds
  • Ghee

Method Mix flour and jaggery syrup together. Now add fennel seeds to the mixture. Add water to maintain a consistency. Heat the pan, sprinkle a little ghee. Spread a spoon of batter to get the pancake shape. Cook both sides well. Toddlers often go through stages of liking or hating certain foods. Please do not force them to eat, focus on the balanced diet. And I am sure you’ll be happy at having done a great job!
