Gastric issues during pregnancy are more common than people realize and there is a very good reason for the same. You are obviously aware of the fact that your body goes through a lot of changes and the gastric issue is just part and parcel of the whole process.

The main cause of gastric issues however, during this time is the production of progesterone, a hormone produced in the body. You see, the hormone relaxes the muscles in your body, which also happens to include the muscles in your intestine. As a result of this digestion ends slowing down thus aiding in the building up of gas.

There are plenty of foods however that you can include in your diet on a daily basis that will help tremendously in cutting down on the gastric problems.

Fenugreek Seeds

A tried and tested food, fenugreek seeds are brilliant when it comes to helping you control gastric issues, quite effectively. There is a fairly simple way in which you can include these seeds in your daily routine.

All you have to do is to start by taking a tablespoon full of the fenugreek seeds. Next soak these seeds in water, overnight. Next day, start your morning with the water you get after filtering the seeds.  This will help wonderfully.

Coriander

Easily available in almost every household, coriander can be quite effective in controlling issues that arise in your body during pregnancy. Apart from gastric issues, it also helps treat bloating that arises as a result of a gastric problem.

Have coriander raw, or even add it to your daily food intake in some way or the other. This will help your digestive system function better and more smoothly. You can also try another remedy using coriander. Roast coriander and add it to a glass of buttermilk and drink this concoction. This will help tremendously by controlling gas and indigestion.

Herbal Tea

Herbal teas are known to be amazingly beneficial when it comes to helping with gastric issues, especially during pregnancy. Herbal teas like chamomile, mint and even raspberry are the best teas to choose from when it comes to picking one out.

However, make sure that you do not boil the leaves too much, otherwise you might just end up destroying the medicinal properties that the tea might have. Remember to atleast have this tea twice in a day, to achieve relief from gas.

Do not worry if you think that this gastric issue might be affecting your baby, because your baby cannot be harmed by these gastric issues in the least. Try these foods out and see how beautifully it helps you keep gastric problems at bay.
