Gestational Diabetes is basically the high amount of blood sugar that occurs during pregnancy and disappears after the birth of your baby. Though it can occur during any stage of a women’s pregnancy, the most common time is during the second half of the pregnancy.

There are certain foods that mothers can eat when they are suffering from gestational diabetes.

You can check out the list below:

  • Fresh vegetables (or even frozen if fresh cannot be found), ideally steamed.
  • Egg whites or whole eggs
  • Baked fish
  • Oats
  • Skinless chicken breast
  • Greek Yoghurt
  • Fresh Fruit or fresh fruit juice (ideally made at home)
