Losing weight after pregnancy is the hottest topic that is trending all across the globe. From celebrities to common people, like you and me, keep searching new techniques on how to reduce the extra weight we have gained. If you are overweight, you become the headlines amongst everybody and people start body shaming, but nobody actually understands that it took almost 9 months to acquire the weight so weight loss will also take time.
Initially for a new mother, who has just delivered a baby some time back, usually doesn’t get time, as the baby is hardly few days / month old. We moms do have a lot of responsibilities and we don’t really focus on ourselves.
So what do you think is the right time to lose post pregnancy weight?
As we all are aware no doctor would recommend you to start dieting or excising straight after the delivery as your body is weak internally. It needs healthy and nourished food to heal and give strength. Apart from your body getting back to normal, a mom has to have rich diet as she has to feed her baby and take proper care of herself and the baby. You can consult a good dietician after 8 or 10 weeks have passed, but do consult your doctor before any appointment with the dietician.
Reducing weight is very important for one as it leads to many diseases such as diabetes, joint pain and high blood pressure and sometimes it can lead to life threatening disease too. Apart from disease, if you are overweight, you tend to lose self confidence and it further results in depression. Being overweight restricts one’s lifestyle and one cannot enjoy much. Secondly, reducing weight is equally important if you are planning for a second baby as it becomes difficult for an obese person to conceive.
